We are new to this website we have been through sending all the letters to Barclays bank.
we were offered a settlement for about half our claim.
we went ahead and started court action the 14 days was up today and i was expecting to enter for a win by default.
But the bank have entered a defence and i have been advised that I now need to await a court date.
Please help I have no idea how to prepare such a case i didn't think it would go this far.
I do hope someone out there can help me, and advise me what I should do next.
You've definately taken the first step into claiming back what's rightfully yours.
Spend time reading the FAQ's and the Step by Step guide as this will stop you making mistakes along the way. Use the letters and spreadsheets in the templates library as these have all been tried and tested in successful claims. Read as many threads as you can especially ones that relate to your bank. This is a SELF HELP site and won’t do the work involved for you. However, everything you need is on here somewhere.
Don't be afraid to ask any questions, no matter how stupid they may seem, but please remember that any advice that you receive is normally based on experience only and that you should seek expert advice if required.
Once you start the process of your claim remember to open a thread in the relative bank forum, this will enable you, and others helping you, to keep track of your claim.
When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.
Should you be offered help that requires payment please report it to site team.

Have only found this site today some great info.
however I do need some help.
We have already sent all the letters to the bank was offered about half of the amount we were claiming.
Went ahead with the claim through mcol 14 days was up today but Barclays have entered a defence mcol say that i can't do anymore online and i have to wait to hear from my local court.
I am really worried now as I didn't expect to have to go to court, I have no idea how to prepare for this court case or what to do next. The claim with court fees is about £1980.00
Wishing I had excepted the lower offer. It's all very scary.
If anyone can give me any advise as to what I should do next and what the next stage involves.
I have found info on a court bundle and have printed it of but it all seems a bit over my head
