Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have calculated how much RBS owe me and am just about to begin proceedings via Money Claim. Can anyone suggest which RBS address I should use? I would prefer not to use the address of my local branch but if I send it to their registered office (which presumably is in Edinburgh?) will they try to claim that the case should be heard there? If the latter, this would cause me a problem as the amount claimed is over £1,500.
However, my problem is that Moneyclaim specifies you must enter an address in England or Wales for service of the action. Should I go ahead and give my branch address or is there another way round this?
