Where do I find the eg of letters to send to the bank
Sorry for being dim but I am trying to find the examples of letters to send to the banks to reclaim my charges. Also should I send a list of all the charges I am claiming for with my first letter?
When entering your charges, don’t delete anything first. Just overwrite the existing examples: type of charge, amount and date.
The ‘Days Since’ and ‘8% interest’ columns will be calculated automatically
Save it (for use later at court), then delete/hide the last 2 columns (8% bits) and print out as your schedule of charges for the preliminary and lba letters
Re: Where do I find the eg of letters to send to the bank
Thank you Michael. One other thing, I thought the bank had 40 days to respond to the first letter, this letter gives the bank 14 days. Has this changed?
Re: Where do I find the eg of letters to send to the bank
Hi Trix,
The 40 days is for the banks to send your statements to you.
The 14 days for the preliminary letter and the 14 days for the letter before action are as set out under the Civil Procedure Rules.
