I think from what i've read you can have them in court for non-compliance on this anyway (I've seen people doing that to Barclaycard for example).... but if you're just keen to see your statements then maybe you could "sweet talk" either Direct Banking or your branch, who will then submit a request-order through to the place where they keep the fiche copies of statements.......
