    Default Do Banks Attend Court?

    Hi

I was under the impression that banks don't attend, however some of the threads here suggest they do (sometimes), is this the case?

From what I've read, I think Citibank do, but I haven't heard of any other banks attending.

Really can't see this happening ... apart from the fact they have no real defence and would lose in the vast majority of cases, they wouldn't put up the money for their solicitors to fly all over the country.

Bear in mind Lloydsicon have only won two cases and, in one of those, the claimant didn't turn up, so didn't deserve to win. This is just two cases out of many thousands ...

Goes without saying it's always best to be prepared though

I don't know about "real court" I sincerely doubt it. I had someone representing the bank turn up at my directions hearing though, which would have been intimidating had he known much!

Like MJ said, prepare for the worst and be happy if it doesn't happen.
