muchu Vs Lloyds TSB - Transferred to mercantile court - Please Help!!
Hi,
I’ve been trying to get my money back from Lloyds TSB for a good few months now. After sending all the preliminary letters and getting refused a refund I took it to court, Lloyds put in a defence and it was transferred to my local court, Leeds county court.
I have now received a letter from the court saying this:
On 8th May, 2007-05-30
His Honour Judge Grenfell sitting at The Court House 1 Oxford Row Leeds considered the papers in the case and
ordered that:
1) The claim is transferred to the Mercantile Court, Leeds District Registry
2) The claim is reserved for all purposes to His Honour Judge Kaye QC
3) Because this order has been made by the Court without considering representations from the parties, the parties have the right to apply to have the order set aside, varied or stayed. A party wishing to make an application must send or deliver the application to the court (together with any appropriate fee) to arrive within seven days of service of this order.
Can anyone tell me what this means??What is the Mercantile Court? What do I need to do now and should I be worried?!?
