Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, I've not posted here before so not sure if this is in the right place.
I have had the paltry offer from A&L and the standard defence through from Wragges and my claim is marked as 'defended' on MCOL. I have read lots of stuff on here, leaving me well informed of how to do everything but unsure of what to do right now...
Should I send off my spreadsheet of charges to Wragges?
Should I send a copy to A&L as well?
Maybe together with a nudge letter?
Should I start preparing my bundle?
Should I just sit tight and wait for contact from my local court?

Good idea to send off your charge list to Wragges "hoping it will clarify your claim". It won't hurt to also send to A&L if you wish.
You can send off your first nudge letter ... second one to follow in 10 days or so. I would send everything by Recorded Delivery from now on.
Start putting all your correspondence together in date order, together with your statements with charges on (and marked). Up to you whether you start to print off all the legal stuff now or leave it a bit, but don't copy it 'til near the time it has to be submitted ... there's loads and you may, like me, want to keep adding to it.
You don't say how much your claim is for ... A&L do tend to pay out amounts below £500 around the stage you're at now. For larger amounts they seem to be taking it all the way (though can't see them actually going to court, she hopes).
You should receive your hearing date and Order from the court in the next 2/3 weeks, when you'll know exactly what's required.
When you get it, post on here and you'll get lots of help I'm sure
