Thread: barj re A&L mortgage arrangement fees

I've been looking about the site to find if anyone has attempted to reclaim the morgage arrangement fees charged by A&L but can't find anything.

I'm in the process of a claim against the Bank of Scotland, so starting to thing about the arrangement fees of £299 that they have charged me over the last 12 years and add on to the mortgage every time I renew the mortgage with them. I am 100% positive it can not cost that amount.

Any advice, links, help would be much appreciated.

No expert, so can offer opinion only - but would've thought the £299 charge legit as it's a 'fee' for a service rather than a 'penalty'.
