Default b8byd's other half v LTSB (Credit Card) **WON**

Does anyone know if you can claim compound interesticon on credit cards?

The monthly rate of interest is 1.527% so i'm assuming the APR is 18% (x12 months?)

    Thanks!

Just an update: we sent the prelim on 9 June claiming £295 plus 8% (s.69) interesticon. Will let you know how it goes...

Sent lbaicon on 23 June and since then we've received 3 letters from them (all standard ones) the latest being the one which says the charges are not unlawful.

We have been waiting until we can afford to submit the court claim, but will probably write once more as it has been so long. They may want to settle as this claim is only tiny - you never know!

Just a quick question (I hope) - we sent the lbaicon on 23 June and are now ready to submit the court claim. Do we have to write to them first, giving them another chance, because it has been a while since the LBA?

Oh and are we right in thinking we can carry-on-regardless with credit card claims, we don't have to wait until the test case has been decided?

    Thank you!

Does anyone know if my other half has to submit this claim in court himself, or can he sign everything at home so that I can do it for him? Its just he leaves for work really early and gets home late, certainly not during court opening times....

    Thank you

Oooh actually - Barty - why did you say that doing the claim by N1 is essential now? Can he not just do it online from home?

    Sorry for all the questions!

    bumpety-bump...

    Is anyone around today?

Would quite like to know whether I can submit on behalf of my partner, so that he doesn't have to take time off work. If so, I can do it tomorrow. Alternatively, can we submit the claim online? Wise Barty must have had a good reason for saying it's now essential to fill out the N1 instead.......

    Hi
You should be able to take it to the Court for him. The space on MCOL for filling out your particulars of claim is not enough for putting all the details in that you need to. If you have a look at that second link you will see why:o

    Oh yes, I see!

So on page 2 of the N1 where you are supposed to put the particulars of claim, I should just put see attached?

Hi again... the POCicon template refers to a current account. Does anyone have one for credit card accounts?

    Hi guys

Never needed the particulars of claim after all. On 17 Dec 2007 they offered to refund the charges in full plus interesticon at the Bank of England base rate. What a nice Christmas pressie!

    Good luck to everyone else.
