contacted local county court today to ask about allocation questionaire as i have not received one, when they looked at my case they said the details they have say A&L have already paid me the money, i told her they hadnt, she said to write a letter to them immediatley to say i have not received any money, shall i ring bank again, rang them on saturday but all they talked about was the Lloyds tsb case that won. Dont know whats going on now.
Just telephoned A&L and the woman on the other end said the money had not been paid so she would e-mail the appropriate person to find out the details and they would then ring me back. She asked if i could be contacted on the number they had for me but i told her i have a new number. I asked if i would receive the telephone call today and she told me my phone number had to be on their system for 3 months before they would ring it so i'm still no further forward.
Hi A&L did the same with me, they told the courts i had settled but i had'nt. You must inform the court you have'nt so they can proceed with the claim. personally i think its another "tactic" as Barclays did the same to me too!!!!
Hope that helps

hi, i have just spoken to the clerk at bristol county court and to a & l. the clerk told me that this problem of the claim being "paid" has arisen because the codes used my mcol and the codes used by the regional courths are different!!! i too was told this.
the clerk also told me that several claims for bank charges had gone to trial and been resolved by judges but she could not tell me any outcomes.
i also today received a letter from the customer services team, bog standard stuff, saying they had received my nudge letter in which i gave them 7 days to either pay or i would get solicitors to act. it seems to me that this is just another delaying tactic.
i was told by guy on phone to wait a few more days as they are in process of writing to me. he could not say what letter would say but indicated that it may involve an increased offer, i had the usuall £12 per charge one initially which i rejected, or it may be a re-issue of the original letter.
due to my kind nature i have agreed to hold until tues next week. to nice for my own good!!
does anyone know the exact timescale after the case has been transferred to local county court, i rang my local county court lasf fri (25th may), they said it had been directed to district judge due to A&L saying that amount had been paid, (it hasnt), should i contact court again to ask whats happening or just wait. im worried that there may be a time limit im not sure of. I sent court letter saying this amount hadnt been paid and wished to carry on with claim.
I sent the letter to the court teling them i still want to carry on with my claim as it hadnt been paid to me. I still didnt hear anything by last week so i phoned the court to see what was going on and they told me there was nothing on their system to say that it had been paid or that i had sent a letter, the lady at the court couldn't really tell me much else. I still haven't heard anything else from the court and i'm starting to get worried that my claim is going to be thrown out as its been 45 days since i started my claim. Is there anything i should be doing?
