Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hiya. I have received my court date (19th July) & have completed & sent my court bundles.
My case is being heard through the small claims track & what I would like help with is this: has anybody claimed for prep costs & succeeded & when would be the best time to apply for these costs??!
I'm aware that as it is a small claim case, I may not be successful with claiming these costs but I would at least like to try as it would be almost an additional £500.00.
Abbey have until the 6th June to submit their equivalent of a 'court bundle' so should I write to them now (& of course the court) explaining my intention to claim these costs, should I leave it until after 6th June & see if they do submit their bundle or should I wait until nearer the court date & ring them to negotiate OR should I wait until the case is settled then write to them??
