archer vs barclaycard **WON**

ok thought id start a thread for this as its not as simple as it supposed to be!
i thought I'd ask for the S.A.R - (Subject access request icon

) and then calculate etc etc..........but theyre being a proper pain as ive read on here is the norm for them! asked 3rd march for SAR icon

they sent me some of them but told me the earlier ones were on microfiche and would take upto a further 6 weeks.i sent them a letter saying they had 7 days to produce them or I'd take them to court.but i think this is ridiculous.wasting court time just to get a set of statements? why are they allowed to constatnly do this without repercussions?
any ideas on how to get them without court action? ive reported them to FO.Ill phone them later too to see how long they think it'll be,not that i think it will do much good!

I would if the 40 days have passed and they have not responded to your further request start court proceedings. They are failing to meet their responsabilities under the DPA. You to report them to the information commisioners offer regarding their non compliance.

you were quick off the mark this morning!
thanks for the advice,i phoned them this evening and was tld i should be receiving a chip with the info on any day now,but when i asked when it was sent out he couldnt tell me...........now call me cynical............but i wonder why that is!?

well received my earlier statements today there were only 3 missing! and all the charges on them had been refunded that were on them anyway so what a waste of time!? it wasnt a chip though as stated by Barclays icon

earlier in the week but paper copies of statements.

OK have done the list and prelim am asking for £264 in charges back.i have only had the card 3 yrs and for 2 years have been paying on time with no charges incurred!! lovely! i will have my balance cleared!!

had a normal statement off barclaycard today with a £132 credit on it but ive had no reply from my letter asking for full charges !?

well ive had a letter saying they will be asking for a stay in view of the OFT case?? i shall be writing to the judge about that as it has nothing to do with the credit cards...and today i received their defence... so i have to file an aq icon

...more work its only for a small amount im asking as well...think theyd give in gracefully!!!

filled in and sent off, ive put in the box about OFT case for bank accounts only and it having no relevance to credit cards so ill just have to wait and see..
