can you claim travel expenses in court case against Barclays?
Hello there...im a newbie and i think ive asked a question in the wrong place ..soooo sorry if i have!
So i thought id start my own.
I am currently claiming back £1700 from Barclays (my hubbies a/c) and we have had the court papers ACKNOWLEDGED and now they have just 10 days left to decide to take it to court (fingers crossed it passes them by un-noticed
Now to add to the confussion we have just found out that in the middle of August we will be moving to Germany for 3 years(my hubby is a squaddie so we are posted) -woo hoo !!! and we are away for our first ever holiday for 2 weeks in July....now i dont expect a court date (if one comes through) to be before then.... so my question is -" can we claim for travelling expenses against the bank if we win?" or is there some special way of dealing with the court without coming back to the UK?
many thank for any help..as i have looked everywhere for an answer...
Re: can you claim travel expenses in court case against Barclays?
Welcome to the site.
The allocation Questionaire asks for dates that you are free or not free to attend any hearing.
You should fill that in.
Theres increasingly dispensation with the aq happening and listings of bulk cases.
Much depends on which applies to you specifically.
You ask if you can claim for your trip ?
Would be nice if you could.
More likely that your refund of charges will pay for it.
Take some time to read the forums.
Start a thread also in the bank forums.
Have a nice holiday too but be prepared....Barclays are no pushover and will leave you hanging on until you have bought your sun lotion !!!
