Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
As we are all aware of the abduction of Madeleine McCann in Portugal, I think that it would be a great gesture by the CAG and CAG members if we all donated something to the fund set up to help her parents cover the cost of remaining in Portugal and the hiring of experts in trying to track down this little girl and her abductors. People can contribute a small amount simply by sending a texting: MADDIE to 60999. I'm sure that all of us would like to help in any way that we can hope that little Maddie will be found safe and well and returned to her family. Maybe all members who win their cases against the banks over say the next week or two could contribute a small portion of their refunds to the fund and help this family. I am sure they would appreciate all the help they could get, I know that as parents ourselves we all would. Please click on the link for more information.

I am a bit concerned that you are advising people to txt to the maddie fund when only 53p will be taken from the £1 charged to the donators mobile phone, surly a site as large as your self could setup a Justgiving - the easiest way to fundraise and donate to charity online account for the fund were all the procides go to the people concerned, were as in this case 47p of every £1 is going to someone who is profiting from it.
I take the point completely. People should reflect on how fundraising is organised.
Unfortunately, although we may seem to be a large organisation, we are very poorly resourced. We have a great team of volunteers but we are fully stretched and we would not be able to undertake any kind of fundraising project.
I do have to make the point that once again it is the continuing parasitic lawlessness by British banks and other institutions which are taking up so much of the resources of groups like our own and which divert attention and energy away from other much more deserving matters.
