got my statements today and what a shocker there not all there got 100 pages but last 3 months missing
however i have access to my statements online and can view my charges there. is this ok or do i need the paperwork to back them up?
i've read the faq but still need help as i dont want to mess it up. surprised to find almost 4k of charges in 2 years . no wonder they like us and have refused to give us a bigger over draft.
there are a few charges that confuse me one for £5.12 and a few for £9.00. the latter i assume are adv. gold charges befor it went to £10 and now £12
not sure if it makes a difference but there are a few things that may be of importance if i don't say now
1. this is a joint account with my partner.
2. i never had to sign a data protection form as i requested my statements by telephone via telephone banking.
just want reassuring and talking though it really as i said before i dont want to mess it up
rome00 - deffo sounds like the AG fee. Check here to make sure http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...borrowing.html At some point, nat west started lumping the AG fee in with the unarranged borrowing (UB) fee so you're right in thinking that you can only claim the £28. On your spreadsheet, just detail this as 'charges' and put the correct amount (e.g., UB fee minus AG fee). xx
I haven't a clue whtat the £5.12 charge is for. Is it the overdraft interest? If so, you can't reclaim this - only the portion that's been applied because charges sent you overdrawn/over your overdraft. Difficult to work out so make sure you download the right spreadsheet if you want to claim this.
With regards to the other charges that you're not sure about, have a look through the Advantage Gold thread that I posted in my last post - should clear up the issue for you.
Doesn't matter if this is a joint account - you can still reclaim!
With regards to your last query - it may be worthwhile sending the SAR request if you haven't had all your statements yet.
yes it does thanks, i've read adv. gold stuff a hundred times still a lot to take in but i'm getting there.what i don't get is do i just send a letter about my charges or do i need to sent the spread sheet to?
i think that it for tonight got a lot of input to do
and have a beer for the milan team.
lol
thanks i know you do his a lot and i am honestly greatfull
No worries mate - we're all here to help each other out! It's a lot to take in at first and your head ends up whizzing around - but don't worry, we've all been there and we'll all help you along!
Send the prelim letter along with your schedule of charges (spreadsheet) to the Borehamwood address recorded delivery. Hide the 8% interest column for now as well.
It may be worth waiting till you've got all of your statements for the account though - that way you can just do the one claim.
Get the beer open - I'm just indulging ma'self at the monent anyway!!!!
