Default Coventry Building Society Vs Pam

As I am trying to sort out my daughter's CC acount with someone else I thought I would also try and claim back some charges from a couple of accounts I had a few years ago. I've sent the DPA request in, which was received by them yesterday. Let's see what happens next!

Wow I had a really quick reply from them. Got all my statements in the post on Saturday. It's only a small amount, £200, as the account has been closed for 4 years now, but every bit is a bonus. Will send my request for payment letter off tomorrow and see if they reply as quickly from that one !

    HELP>>>>>

Today I received letter stating that my account with the building society was a basic account that offered direct debits and standing orders but no overdrafticon facility. Therefore when my direct debits failed because of lack of funds they had to charge me. They said the £20 was fair and they had told me the charge in their terms and conditionsicon.

I'm hoping this is the usual sort of letter that people get and I should simply proceed to the lbaicon ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the standard fob off letter. The charges are unfair. Stick to your plan and your timetable.

    Good Luck.

I need a bit of help again please folks...

I've sent my lbaicon today and am getting ready for the moneyclaim bit. I assume I now use the excel spreadsheet to calculate 8% interesticon on each charge from it's date and use the total of interest and all charges for the moneyclaim. Is that right ?

You've got it. There's also a space at the top to put in any estimated charges should you have to resort to use this, if you haven't got all your statements.

After a nightmare journey back from work I finally got home at 18:50. Usual pile of rubbish mail on the doormat but included was a letter from the Coventry Building Society. I assumed it was another "sod off" letter but was extremely pleased to find a cheque inside for the full £215 I am over the moon. Thanks for all your help on here guys. I'd never have got there without you. donationicon button being pressed in 1 minute lol
