Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have recieved a letter saying that I have a directions hearing 21/05/07 at the London Mercantile Court, Strand.
My original case was being dealt with at the Bow county court, for who I Filled out an Allocation Questionaire. The judge at Bow decided to transfer it to the mercantile court and I was told in the letter that this hearing is intended to give direction for my case and several others.
I am unsure of what this means, as I was under the impression that this was the reason I had to fill out the allocation questionaire??
I have no idea what I need to take with me or what is going to happen at this hearing!
It also states on the bottom of the letter that 'although some of these cases have been allocated to the Multi Track, it is the provisional view of the judge that the costs rules for the small claims track should apply to all of them.'
