Default barclays stalling for time !!!what can i do? ***WON***

hello all ive just received a letter off Barclaysicon saying they are sorry im unhappy with the charges i have incurred and my comments(lbaicon,as per templates libraryicon) are receiving attention. they state that they aim to find a solution within 4weeks,but if they are not able to do so then i will receive an update within 8weeks.They have also told me to read their complaints procedure leaflet even though i have requested a refund. Can anyone advise me on what to do now, shall i just go ahead with a court claim. This has made me really mad as they dont have any delay in taking these charges off us,or offer us time to pay, even when we dont have the money.....any guidance pleeease

As long as you have sent the LBA (letter before actionicon) it is 14 days from that letter that you proceed with court action, no matter what time limit they say, you are in control.

it was the preliminary approach for repayment letter not the letter before actionicon, that i had sent sorry my mistake. So what can i do now,can i send them an LBA now, even though they say they are looking into it? i dont want to have to wait another 8weeks before a reply off them

No, you don't want to wait, but that's what will happen if you let Barclaysicon dictate the pace.

Send them your lbaicon after 14 days like you promised.

It's YOUR claim, YOU are in control!

Listen to oneofakind he is a knowledgable man.

I received the same letters in March, then again in April. Heard nothing therefore submitted my claim via MCOL.

It is clearly a stalling mechanism so stick to YOUR timescale not theirs.

    Hi reesdance1

I received exactly the same letter last week. I have followed the steps as detailed on this site, now an lbaicon is on its way stating that I am disappointed with the delay in repayment......because that is exactly what it is....and they now have 14 days to respond or I take them to court.

    Remember, your timetable, not theirs.

Ugly i think i have said this before but it would be more helpful if you started your own thread in this forum then all your questions can be answered in your thread and save you from hi-jacking someone elses thread

Any typos spelling mistakes are due to leprechauns in my keyboard they move the letters around sometimes (amended just for Bookie)
