Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have started legal proceddings against A&L for just over £900. I have just received to letters one from A&L with a cheque for £220. I have also received a letter from A&L solicitors Wragge&Co.
The letter that i have received has indicated between the lines that they may close my account down if i don't accept their initial offer. I currently have an over draft of £700 which is almost at its limit.
Wragge&Co have said in their letter that A&L are going to defend all of the claim. The letter from Wragge&Co was rather professionally signed my a TRAINEE yes a TRAINEE how unprofessional is this!
My question is do i continue with the claim and risk my a/c being closed and taking the £900 and using it to clear my overdraft or do i take my £220 which includes court costs and think myself lucky??? Also now that A&L have said that they are going to deffend themselves what actually am i required to do.
If you accept the £200 you wiull still have your overdaft.
If you get back WHAT YOU ARE OWED the overdraft will be cleared and you get £200, you can always get an account with another bank. I suggest you open a new banak account asap.
Stcik with your claim and your timetable you will get back every penny you are owed.
