Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Can anyone help me. I sent a letter asking for my statements waited 40 days ,got no reply, so sent another letter giving them 14 days. They have now sent me a letter saying they are looking into my request and I should here from them by the 7th June. Should I sit and wait or send in a claim for a estimated amount.
Add up all of the charges for the period you have got and divide by number of months in the period. This should give you an average for the period. Multiply this figure by 72 (being 72 months in six years). If you think that this figure is probably right go for that one. If you went through a particulary bad patch, account for it by adding an extra amount.
Please note that this is my opinion. I am in exactly the same boat as you. If someone else comes along and gives you a better way to estimate use that one.
Good luck and keep us posted.
