    Default A&L Court then what?

    Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyona has any info, Ive gone through all the letters and now have filed a claim with my local small claims court, to which the court has sent a letter back saying the bank has 10days to reply. Im just woried what they will do! Is it likely that they will defend themselves in court? if so what do i need to do? and will it cost me evn more?!

    Thanks!

A&L will probably say they're gonna defend.

Then you may get an aqicon from the court which you'll have to fill in and there'll be a charge for (can't remember if it's £100 or £125 or thereabouts).

OR you may be lucky, and after they say they'll defend, you'll receive a cheque for the full amount.

If they try fobbing you off with part payment, refuse, as if you play it out you will get the full amount.

I've seen two "success" stories for A&L claims today ... both under £500 and they paid up in both cases shortly after court proceedings had begun. It appears A&L are dragging it out for larger claims ... I've recently had the Defence papers from their solicitors (standard for everyone it seems) and am awaiting a court date.
