Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
At last, my claim letter went off with my spread sheet reclaim data (including cci) near end of April and on 9th May recieved a patronising letter and a complaints leaflet. They suggest reading the leaflet to see how they handle complaints and their time frames! Then they go on to state they are "in discussion with other banks" if you like, and the OFT.
Is this a cartel or what? Banks colluding together to charge penalties or avoid repaying same.
It was also suggested I may call their 0870 (high cost heave-ho) customer service number. No way Jose.
So now its just a question of time
There's gold in them thar hills (all&ls)
You're so right, could this be grounds for investigation of a cartel operation? Lesser mortals or companies could face investigation and potential criminal charges for similar goings on.
