How do you claim back for closed accounts?

Hi

I have looked all around on the site to no avail and was wondering how to claim back charges for old accounts.

I/my family have closed accounts which we have no info about but were charged unfairly on.

Also, on a couple of them, because I moved around address a lot in a short time I dont even know where I lived (it's years ago.)

Can I still pursue these accounts?

yes but you'll have to find out the acc number, try asking the bank, but they are normally reluctant to do this, i'd go to the branch you opened the account with, and say that the tax man wants info off you, or something like that, don't mention claiming to them, or check old bills for dd tranfers, account number should be there somewhere

hi-i had this problem eith an old Halifax icon

account-sent a SAR icon

with my date of birth and previous address on it-nothing back from them yet-but, in the meantime -low and behold found the account no on an old mortgage icon
