Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I tried to claim back charges from Cahoot late last year on a credit card that was over its limit and was being hit with charges each month, I didn't pursue the claim after I got 2 "rejection" letters as I was pretty ill. My credit card account is now closed, as after negotiations Chaoot agreed to accept a partial settlement of the balance, which my parents paid. They only took about £750 off the total amount outstanding and told me that my credit file would state that only a partial seetlement was made. Can I now claim back the charges from Cahoot, or does the fact that they agreed to a partial settlement stop that. Also, id like them to remove the partial settlement from my credit file, by taking the £750 or so that they discounted from my claim.
