Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Im hoping someone can help. Ive been trawling the internet for info on what charges can be claimed and there seems to be some variation in what can and cant be claimed. On one site it said you could claim overdraft interest and on others says you cant
I have the following charges on my bank statements:
Curlyben is right (I don't know about 'charges capitalised' either). However you can claim a proportion of the overdarft interest in so far as it is interest charged on the charges.
For example, say one month you have an overdraft of £200 and are charged £4 interest. If the charges added up up to that point come to, say, £120 then only £80 of your overdarft is a 'real' overdraft - the rest is due to the charges. By the same argument, only 80/200 of the interest is legitimate and you can (should) claim back 120/200 of it, ie £2.40. Not much but it soon tots up.

Thanks guys for your replies. I am still a little unsure what to claim as I keep getting different advise. I guess I will have to keep looking for my answers.
