    Hi, boon.

The CPR 18 stunt is designed to do two things:
    1. Scare you into thinking you can't go on,
    2. Give you so much to do that think you'll never do it.

It's a standard, cynical scare tactic.

There is a standard response template to this on the site - the CPR18 counter-attack is was first used (I think ...) by Cobbetts, the law firm that works for Natwesticon.

Basically the response (from you) is 'this is likely to be a small claimicon, CPR 18 isn't necessary, if the Judge wants it, we'll do it'.

    Then press on.

Have a scoot around this site for info - do not be put off.

Put 'CAGicon CPR18' into Google (UK) and chase some threads down. Make notes and 'arm up'.

Good luck, and bless you for helping your friend!

Hiya Boon, your in the right forum now! probably the reason you were taken to Natwesticon forum is because Natwest routinely send CPR18 requests as an intimidatory tactic.
CPR 18 is only routinely used in claims over £5000, so in your claim, it is a wholly innapropriate request.
Have a look at this link, amend it to suit your needs and send one to Woolwich Legal team and one to the court. Obviously tailor each letter to suit.
