    Default TV Repairs

I have a Panasonic Plasma TV which has developed a fault while still under manufacturers warrenty.

Panasonic customer services have told me to contact the authorized repairer in my area.

They have then told me they will order the relevant part to do the repair but I will have to deliver the set to them myself.

The set is a sizeable 42" screen and I only have a small family car, I always thought a plasma had to be kept upright as well. Is this fair to expect me to transport the set and potentialy damage it in transit?

I'd advise you to go through whoever you bought it from rather than panasoonic themselves.

I bought it from Digital Direct who told me Panasonic were dealing with the particular fault that I have.

Its Digital Directs problem, it would upto them to organise pick up, and delivery or to pay for you to get it to the repairer. Don't be pawned off onto the manufacture even if they are 'dealing with it'.

I am happy to offer helpful advise in many consumer problems based on my retail experience. I do not represent any company, and any advise I do offer is my opinion and how I understand the law. I have no authority to create any terms for any company I do work for and will just nudge you in the right direction without breeching their trust.
