We are hearing a lot about telephone harassment being carried by people who are apparently acting on behalf of the Halifaxicon.

The FSA are conducting an investigation into the handling by the banks of bank charges complaints.

IF you are being harassed on the telephone by the Halifax, please let us know.

You should keep a diary of calls received. dates, times etc.
A note of what was said
Please let us have brief details including your diary list together with a note explaining how this is affecting you.

Include a statement that you wish your complaint to passed on to the FSA and that you require them to consider the matter.

You should also include your full name, userid, full address and phone number.
Please send these details to harassment@consumeraction group.co.uk
Please put "harassment" in the subject line.

Your email will be passed on immediately to the FSA.

The diary is extremely important. If you are able to obtain the names of anyone who calls this would be very important.

We recommend that you obtain a telephone recordingicon device from Maplins and routinely record all calls with your bank.
You do not need to warn them that you are recording the call and you should not do so.

It is not unlawful to record calls without giving warnings if your recording device does not interfere with the line in some way.
