    Default Should I trust them

We requested our statements from the woolwich and the 40 days is up on May 7th
Last week we recieved a letter detailing our charges.... I was not very happy with this and we wrote to them reminding them of our original letter which said NOTHING about charges..mearly requested our statements.
We got another letter yesterday saying they are very sorry we are unhappy and they are conducting our investigation for us!!!! and will notify us of the outcome by May 14th.

ALL I asked for was our statements, I said nothing about charges and nothing about an investigation and NOW they have added an extra 5 days onto the original deadline.

I want to see the statements and if I want to conduct an investigation I will bloody well do it for myself

Does anyone know where I stand in all this....Would I be better off just letting them do it for me? I can't help thinking it's a bit of a liberty

Sorry for the rant, I would really appreciate someone else's opinion

hi , same thing happened with my mum, we decided 2 leave it and let them investigate expecting them 2 make a pathetic offer, but on the date they gave us in the letter(2day) they sent my mum a letter offering her £2665 which is actually all her charges.
my sister also done the same and she had £400 paid yesterday which again was the full amount, i say leave it, u dont have 2 accept the offer u get,my mums glad she left it
    good luck with it

    hiya

its standard for them to just send a list of the charges they have made on ur account, they did on mine and if u read thru most threads u will see that others have also just had a list and gone with it, i just used the list they sent me, saved me time in traulling thru statements, i think they wouldnt dare mess with it because if they did and u recieved ur statements and checked they would be in big trouble.

its up to u if u want to trust them or not, and if u still want statements keep on at them and if they still dont send u can send a non compliance letter to them and report them to the oft.

keep up the fight dont let them dictate times to u, u give them a timescale
