Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi i have had a reply from A&L seems its typical one of them saying it only applies to credit cards etc etc. But thanks to this site i know i am entitled to claim back my bank charges for overdrawn charges, failed direct debits and failed cheques. Aiming to claim back £1,438 which is bank charges they have taken since july last year. Been charged £25 for every unauthorised overdraft, £34 for every failed cheque and £34 for every failed direct debit. I admit that i have not had enough money in account at times, but feel a much smaller amount should be charged, especially considering all my income is benefits (income support, dla, carers allowance and family allowance).
No wonder bank managers always look so happy.
Anyway i shall be posting 2nd letter later this morning (via recorded delivery), cant say they aint recieved it then.
Look forward to seeeing how many of us are succesful at claiming our money back.
