Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Well, after waiting almost an eternity, my hubby received 6 years statements for his 2 cards. I have calculated the charges for both cards in the advanced spreadsheet for Credit Cards and the total amount of the claim is just under £1,500. I have yesterday sent 1st lba registered to Barclays. Let's see how long it will take for them to offer me a ridiculous amount.
Going through with the same process against HSBC, I kind of know now the steps they take to try and fob you off.
It took me about 2 months....an eternity. But after 60 days, on my personal Barclaycard, they have only sent part statements and I am still waiting for the rest. My husband was quite luck to get all his information in one hit.

Just an update. Barclaycard sent hubby a letter offering him £409 out of the £1,500 we have claimed back. We politely rejected and if they do not answer positively in 7 days from Monday, we will issue MCOL.

After receiving 2 letters from Barclaycard offering silly amounts to be refunded, we have today filed 2 MCOL claims against them for my hubby's Mastercard and Visa Cards. Toatl just under £2K. I don't how difficult Barclaycard is for paying, if someone could tell me roughly in which stage they are likely to pay up, please let me know!

Hello, Barclaycard has acknowledged one of the 2 claims we have filed. They have only until tomorrow to acknowledge the other one, I hope they don't....

I have last week received paperwork from court allocating it to my local court. No aq needed, so now I will need some guidance on what to do next. Meanwhile, I have contacted Barclays by e-mail and I had a reply from Thomas Hickey who was very polite and explained that due to the heavy workload he would not be able to look into my claim at present and that I should contact him in a month's time to get what is the progress. Maybe by then I will have a court date, no?
