Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, with ongoing complaint to my bank have further discovered errors made by bank on mortgage,Mortg payment protection etc to the sum of £16022 (yes I nearly fainted as well).
MPP was paid through direct debit and the error here is worth some £2596.00.
Now under the direct debit guarantee scheme I requested "immediate and full reapyment" for the banks error.
Got the run around of "oh this will take some investiagtion".
oK I said give me a temp overdraft
Manager said "that will cost you £30.00.
I responded that no it wouldnt under circumstances.
He agreed, then said we cant do this as we dont have any proof of id or adress for you on the system.
Now when the mortgage was originally messed up in 2004, and we provided all the requested i.d as per Anti money laundering regulations.
I also applied for an overdraft facility in Sept 06, and discovered that my records had not been updated to include the in formation about occupations etc as per mortgage application (DPA requires information to be accurate timely and up to date).
My question here is Does a bank require this to process a temp overdraft facility?
How could call centre process annual overdraft facilty if they required this?
And what action can I take against them for not keeping accurate information about me.
Me thinks he was just being deliberately awkward, as I have now got following complaints with same bank
Penalty charges :£2849.00 PPI: £3295.00
Bank errors
Mortgage: £13426.00
Mortgage payment protection:£2596.00
