Account number not known for closed account with Barclaycard. SAR sent with LOADS of info 13 MArch. Reply received from Tim Young saying can't find your info, your a/c probably deleted. From 2004? I think not ...
My bank kindly searched payments made to Barclays, Barclaycard and Mercers; after a long time, they found MY BARCLAYCARD ACCT NUMBER.
Called Mercers who gave me Barclays DP number. Called lSue Brown on 01604 254663/254518 who said that will do fine to get your statements to you.
Interestingly, she asked me if I'd included my 'phone number and when I said I had, she sounded surprised.
So, reminder SAR sent to Tim Young today by registered post. They have until 27 April to comply but I anticipate a long wait as I understand from these threads that the Barclays organisation regularly flouts the 40 days rule.
Hi Paintball, am subscribing, statements received today for hubby from 2004 onwards, apparently it will now take up to 6 weeks to get the rest lol - will be following your lead.
Have got my statements and was just going to claim 8%, have done spready and now can't decide whether to go with 8% or CCI. Have not had time to follow any threads on barclaycard so am not sure how they react to CCI, any thoughts?
lba sent today in which I reiterate my request for return of all charges and interest, together with removal of default and adverse markers from my credit file. I'm so fed up of the prejudicial information held against me as a result of unfair and unlawful charges, that I'm on a mission to have ANY such info removed, no matter how long it takes me!!! Grrr
I have done things with Barclaycard: 1) asked for a full refund of charges together with removal of default and adverse markers on my credit file and 2) written to Barclays' Company Secretary requesting the latter and enclosed a Stat Notice which reiterates and is intended to reinforce this request.
I have received a prompt initial response from Barclays re the letter to the Company Secretary; letter plus 'phone call from his secretary promising that it will be looked into.
Re my lba, Mr Andrew Yau has sent me his statutory salutation "Sod off, you can't have any more money and our position remains the same ..." He does not, however, refer to my request for removal of default and adverse markers.
So ...
I will give Barclays the rest of their 21 days in which to deal with the default issue and thereafter will be processing my N1 and including reference to removal of the default/markers.
