Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, I'm new to this site and would firstly like to say Hi to all, I hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship!
RBS have defended to claim, so it has been refered to county court!
I have received documents from their solicitors asking for all sorts (in legal jarrgon)! has anyone help me through this stage, I haven't a clue what to do, many thanks

It sounds as if you have got a standard letter, although there are sometimes slight variations.
It would help if you could list the solicitors requests. Quite often, its info the already have, and is nothing to worry about.
Have you had anything from the court yet? If not, you will soon, either with a set of directions (instructions) from the judge, or an Allocation Questionaire. Again nothing to worry about, and everything is here to help you complete the forms.
Give us a bit more info, and you'll find you'll get lots of really useful help and advice.
Hi, I'm really sorry I didn't say hello to everyone, was in a major panic!!
Have sent off the basic letter on CPT 18 , and not in accordance with Part 27, sent it today, so will keep you informed!
Still don't know what I'm meant to do next, but heyho, lots of people to help, many thanks, Lady xxxxxxx
First of all what's all the panic for, i think it's just a matter of waiting for a hearing date now, just get the court bundle together and read up on a few threads.
I have sent off the letter re: the chapter 18 being excluded under part 27 today to cobbetts (1st class and recorded delivery, they should have it Monday)! Really wanted to tell them where to go,because it really terrified me (but not anymore, thanks to you lot).
Having myself a nice glass of chilled wine now, feeling slightly more assured with the fact that there are thousands of people who have been made to feel really desperate at times by these bullies and we are all doing something about it.
Will keep you posted (don't care if they know who I am, (not terrified anymore), this site does such a wonderful job, Thanks again x

Any advice given is purely based on personal experience and if in doubt you should seek further advice from a professional.
It think it's extremely important if you are going to court or in court to read up the Library section as there are all sorts of guidance notes and procedures to help you along with your claim. You are after all potentially going to court!?!?
If you get enough homework done LM, you won't get terrified because you will be expecting them to defend or them to request your claim be struck out. Get reading, reassure yourself and prepare for what is about to happen. No need in panicking now is there?
If my post has been useful, tip my scales and let me know
Many thanks T4FF, had my defence through from Nottingham today, advising that it was being refered to Walsall, with no aq.............
Do I just wait for Walsall to give me a date now?
I've been reading in the library and the other threads, when I made my claim I'm sure I did it on 8%, but I've just read about contratual, does this apply to me???????????????????

Yes just wait for the court to contact you now. You cant claim contractual now only the 8% that you have asked for.
I signed up to this forum months ago, and read up on everything and actually got quite knowledged up ( is that actually a word?? lol ) on the whole situation, but sadly have been too busy to do anything....
Anyway, a few months have passed and now my SAR has been sent.
I am also with the RBOS & will start a new thread in the RBOS section, so we can follow each others cases.
Hope we get them nailed without too much aggro!
Was reading in a different thread about the AQ not being sent out!!!!!!!
My case has been sent to Walsall county court, I was a little confused about the £100 fee that is payable for claims over £1,500!
All sorted now, I rang the court and it turns out that Walsall have to send out AQ with their instructions, but other courts may have been told not to. It would also seem that the £100 is still payable on claims over £1,500 even if you don't get an AQ, so make sure you send it
HI LadyMuck!
I have just joined- today so am also new! I too have had my Bank- Natwest contest my claim...but in my case judgment has alreasy been made in my favour- 10 days before they issued their defence. I am also wanting to know what to do about it- if you hear first- please forward!
Thanks,
20kplus.
Got my aq from Walsall today, and the request for the £100, it now gives me until the 14th May to return it
I will be using the template on the forum (so I don't get it wrong)!!!!!!!!!
Just wondered if there is anything I should be now be doing in anticipation of a court date
Cheers Lady
I am in a similar position just awaiting notification from Walsall Courts ( i used MCOL ). Intresting to know they are using AQ. I would be intrigued to see how quick you get your date.
