Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
After two failed SAR attempts despite RBoS, I sent a recorded letter to both Joyce E Tudor and the local branch manager of my former bank manager giving them 7 days to send me my statements. I ended my letter:
"If I have received nothing within the next 7 days, using the cashed cheque as evidence you have exceeded the 40 day window within which to respond, I shall be filing an official complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Financial Ombudsman and I shall seek a Court order obliging you to do so together with damages at the discretion of the Court and without any further notice."
Well...7 days is up this Friday and still no sign of my statements. I was just wondering how I go about carrying out my threats - I know how to make a complaint to the ICO, I have been on their website, but more importantly how do I go about making a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman (who are they exactly - do they have a name?) and how do I go about seeking a Court order for them to release the information? Or would you go about it a different way?
