Thread: Pringle vs Barclaycard

After successfully claiming back all my charges from the Northern Bank, I thought I would turn my attention to Credit Card companies - in this case Barclaycard, and attempt to reclaim all my charges.

DPA Letter all ready to post tomorrow. Lets hope they dont take long sending out my info!

I received my DPA info today, but I have a problem I don't know what to do about. I asked for the last 6 years, but the covering letter Barclaycard said this;

"Enclosed you will finc copies of your credit card statements from June 2004 to the present time. These statements are stored on computer. We will be sending your statements prior to this date later. These later statements are stored on microfilm (rather than computer) and, take more time to search and reproduce. We will get this information to you as soon as we can. This is likely to be within the next 6 weeks or so."

I originally sent my DPA request off on April 17th, so they have 40 days from that date to supply me with all the info I asked, which would take us to May 27th. Today I get a letter explaining they have sent me only partial info and will be another 6 weeks (maybe) until I get the rest.

My question is this; Is this legal? Can I file a complaint after the 40 days saying my DPA request was not fulfilled? Do I stick to my 40 days or do I have to go with the Barclaycard timelime on this?
