Question Case against Abbey - London Mercantile Court **SETTLED**

    Hi
I received a letter from my local court informing me that the case has been transferred to Mercantile Court, Strand.
After a few minutes panicing I came on here and realised that a lot of cases are now being transferred - phew!
So what happens now, I haven't received a date for a hearing and have heard nothing from Abbeyicon since they sent an offer of 50% when they filed their defence.

    Thanks
    Leigh

The transfer to the Mercantile should be good for you.
Not much to do until you get a date for a hearing.
There are only a few Mercantile Courts in the Country and they seem to do it slightly differently depending on which one.
Leeds for example organises a mass hearing for one day and most of the banks settle out of Court before the hearing.
    See the threads:

    Hi
Had a letter from the Abbeyicon stating that they will settle my claim in full - all £1686.86 of it

They will be sending a cheque out to me, but by all accounts they are snowed under with the amount of cheques they are having to send!!
