Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
can any one advise me as to what happens next.so far i have sent in the court papers which nat west's solicitors have told me they are going to defend. (they had 28 days to submit there defence,i spook to them today and they say they will lodge the defence papers on monday 5th March )
what happens next?
what time scales am i looking at?
Wow Cobbetts will have fun with this one.
Yes they will defend its not something they usually opt out of saying.
Unfortunately the CPR part 18 is likely to apply.
You have no background to your claim here maybe you can add some more info ?
Defence will be filed and you will get a copy as well as an allocation questionaire.
There is lots of info available to assist.Naturally the figures for the claim are higher than usual but this should make little difference in procedural terms whether its 6K or 30K

Scott, i have to ask this question because i have never seen £37k for a claim or on charges for one account even over a short period of time. Sorry if this has been asked before but how much of this is charges, how much is interest, how many years are you claiming, and i will come back for more questions. As I said I have seen claims for a quarter of that amount but that figure on charges alone seems a little odd to me which is why i was asking for a little clarification.
