    Question unenforcable?

Hi everyone, first time thread. I've just been wondering about my Barclaycard, I got it soon after opening a student account, but I have no recollection whatsoever of signing anything stating I wanted one. (I know for a fact that I never asked for a credit card from Natwesticon when I opened a Student account with them, but got one anyway!!) If I didn't sign a contract, does this mean I don't have to pay any existing debts on it? and how do I go about finding out if I did sign something. I saw a recent feature on a News program about a company in Huddersfield dedicated to checking credit agreements to see if there are loopholes in the contract, I'd love to try them out but I can't find any credit agreements.
Should I add it as a request to my S.A.R. to have copies of the original contracts included.

PS. truly fantastic site, keep up the good work, I will try and retain some sense of gratitude in the form of donations if I do ever get anything back.

Depends on your aims i suppose.
If you are trying to claim back charges then you need to send the SARicon.
If you are wanting to know if they have a legal right to pursue you for the money owed then you would send a CCA request.
    Hope this helps.

    Question Re: unenforcable?

    Thanks Bigmac Versus,

My aim is basically, to claim back charges on both my Barclaycard and my Current account. However, I'm currently unemployed and would suffer greatly if they tried to close my accounts should I take them to court.

As I don't have a fixed income, (I'm temporarily living off selling my CD and record collection), I'd probably find it hard to open another account sufficient to accommodate the debts that I've still got. So... I guess I'd like to know before chasing them to court whether they can chase me back.

Are there any templates here for a CCA request? I can't seem to find one. And, would you advise including one with my SARicon, (also, will an extra fee be required?!?)
