Thread: Abbey have sent me some statements - and someone elses!

Just received a first response from Abbey with copies of about a years worth of statements, and also some statements belonging to someone else!!!

Any idea how I might be able to embarrass them with that information

Oh, quite easily I would have thought. In this age of identity theft I'm sure local (or national) papers would run with it.

First of all, contact the person whose statements you've received. Don't send those statements anywhere near Abbey!!

A similar thing happened to me (with Lloyds TSB) only it was my statements sent to someone else. Take a look at my thread: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...t-my-data.html. You'll see the ICO wasn't much interested.

I have yet to decide what I'm going to do about Lloyds TSB's incompetence, but I certainly won't let it go.
