I twice had my direct debitfail on my car insurance
. Each time the company wrote to me and said they would take the direct debit again in a few days but that they would also take an extra £25 admin
fee. I then cancelled my direct debits so it could not happen again and also wrote to the insurance to cancel the policy. They have now sent me a final bill for £77. I refused to pay it unless they told me exactly how the £77 was arrivede at and also pointed out that they had taken £50 off me unfairly and so I wanted that deducting from the 77. I had no response but now have had a letter from a solicitor saying I must pay within 7 days or they will take further action.
Shall I stick to my guns or should I pay up? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
