Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
They can always try, but then you can dispute it. Your contract when you signed up should last you until the agreed contract period is reached, after that, any changes after that date will usually apply. So you've got every right to terminate on the ending of your initial contract period without a termination penalty.
Boy am I sick of these corporations who have a virtual monopoly, killing us for every last dime they can get their stinking hands on. Already with billion £ profits their GREED knows no end.
Have a read of this article. It attempts to explain exactly what is charged and when. The commentary on the termination charge is below the tables showing changes in charges.
How, when, and how successful ISP's will be if they attempt to pass on the termination charge is of course a different matter
Grr BT really annoys me! We use a small but very reliable B2B supplier with our DSL terminating directly into the rack where our servers are in London so are very reluctant to move to a LLU provider.
One thing I will ask them is if they are charging this due to BT's charge then they should be reducing their monthly price in the same move - I doubt they will!
But I don't want to rock the boat with them as like I said above, they are very reliable and have been great with all our DSL and other internet services.
Time will tell but BT are starting to pee people off!
