Spurred on by the encouragement from your site and the receipt of some of my statements from Yorkshire Bank I decided to go after some of the other institutions that have made a nice living from my charges.
I started a small business 8 years ago and needed 3 cars. I went to Carcraft - don't laugh. 2 cars were obtained through Black Horse Finance and one with AFS.
After about a year I ran into difficulties and contacted each of them to try to negotiate a reduced payment. Neither was prepared to do this so the charges started.
I found an old letter from BH advising of an irregular collection activity charge of £168 - I think all they did was write to me.
