Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
hi everyone SAR sent 28th mar not signed for yet
hopefully will be on monday do they often not sign for letters
this account is closed as they smacked a default on me (with no notice i might add) and all this was due to charges lol cant wait to get back at them lol
Did you send the SAR by recorded or special delivery as you should? If you did then the letter must be signed for and you can check this online by following the instructions on the back of the posting receipt. This will confirm the date of delivery and you can print this off as evidence of the date of receipt by them.
Are you sure they have formally defaulted your account on your credit reference file? They are obliged to send you a default notice in advance of this so you can seek to have this removed. If the unlawful charges taken are greater than the amount owing at the date of the default, then you can apply to the court o have the default removed, when you apply for your charges back.
yes i did send recorded signed for they just havent signed for it( did check online thats how i know
they did default me without a notice but it will come off as a condition of settle ment its unlawfull anyway because its made up entirely of ilegal charges
