Thread: Do A&L CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNTS?

I got into some financial difficulty and since I joined A&L in January, I have accumulated £628 in failed DD fee's.

I sent them an LPA asking them to refund me but got the letter saying there charges were fine and they wont refund etc.

Im ready to send the lba but see a lot of people having probs with them. They seem to be very awkward. Thing is, I want to keep the account open should I win the case. Has this happened to any of the successful cases?

Ive applied for a few bank accounts but have been turned down for them all.


Any advice would be appreciated.

I would open a STEP account from Natwest. You get a solo card, online banking etc etc

Yes they will definately close your account if you win-they are in the process of closing mine.

Sounds mad I know, but I'm actually transferring all my direct debits and getting my wages paid into my parachute account because the best thing the Alliance can do is close my account! i cant stand them or the ridiculous farce they go through to repay you... I've been knocked from pillar to post by them, lied to on numberous occasions, done everything they wanted in return for my refund to be told by "Debbie" from Liverpool, sorry love, take us to court, so I have..... goodbye and good ridance if you ask me.
