Dear all, Today is a happy day!!
As previously mentioned, my claim against Egg was served on 26th March.
I recieved a letter dated 27th March offering to repay ALL £700.00 of the charges that were made on the account PLUS £197.27 for interest on charges!
My only question is.......... there was no mention of the £80 refund of the court costs, I think, as I didn't include it in the letter/ charges list I sent to follow the claim.
Should I exept the amount, or, phone the number given and ask for that to be included??????? Am I within my rights?
Thanks, to the site and especialy Sallysas!!
A donation will be on its way when they return my cash.x
If you never told Egg you have already incurred court costs with evidence attached, how does Egg even know you have gone that far?
I understand many other successful claimants received their full legal costs from Egg as part of the out-of-court settlement -- but only if Egg had been informed of costs already incurred.
On the claim that was served to them from the court, it shows the amount of charges, interest and fee, then totals the amount. So Egg must have left it off?
If you have a quick skim read through the V-E Day winners. I cannot recall a single winner posting to say that proven legal costs were claimed but refused by Egg in the settlement offer.
