Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have just had to find £120 for my MCOL claim and it has been difficult to cope with - I had no idea there were any exemptions when I filed.
I phoned the court because I get Working Family Tax Credit and needed to know the gross income cut off point as mentioned in the EX160 leaflet - there didn't appear to be anything on the forum.
So, for anyone else needing to know whether they can apply for exemption, the court says gross income should be less than £15,000.
Wish I'd known that a week ago, we wouldn't be quite so skint now! I know we will get it back but I could have done without paying it out to start with. I hope this post may help someone else who can't afford the court fees.
