Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.

I am going through the proceedure at the moment with the Abbey.
I went to my local Sheriff Court, they gave me the forms, I filed them out and it was passed to the Sheriff Clerk as a Summary Cause, not small claims, paid £39, and a date was set for 24th April 2007 and the forms were sent back to me, one for me to keep and one to be served to the bank by either a sheriff officer or a solicitor, however, I was advised by a solicitor to send it to the bank via recorded delivery, which I did.
I hope this helps.
If you need more information, send me a private message and I will e happy to tell you what I am going through.
Kind Regards
Cally
