    Default Mel v Barclaycard

I have been trying to calculate charges for claim against Barclaycard. I had most of statements but not all. Despite requests and follow up to Northampton - all via recorded the missing statements have not been provided in time limit. Therefore, wondering what to do now? Complaint to ICO and/or preliminary letter to Barclaycard asking for charges back for approximate amount - also on the question of the interesticon. Because of a charge incurred have I not been charged more interest and can I claim for this?

    thanks

Ok have a read through teh step by step this will help. You can complain to the ICO they should be able to help. Then you file a claim in court against Barclaycard for non compliance.

I did this - complaint to ICO and also 7 day letter threatening court and statements finally arrived

I can now quantify charges exactly but what about the extra interesticon I have paid to Barclaycard as a result of the charges - how do I calculate this accurately?

Default Mel v Barclaycard - "offer received"

Having finally got my statements from Barclaycard after the 7 day threat and complaint to ICO - in fact I've now had further copies of these statements - I sent off my lbaicon. Have just had letter from them offering me charges at £12 which they say the OFT has allowed them to charge? Has anyone else had this letter and if so what was the response. I am minded not to accept as there is now allowance whatsoever for interesticon

Grateful to hear from anyone who is further ahead with Barclaycard

Hi. It seems a lot of people get offers less the OFT £12 at different stages.
See this link for info about OFT report.

You could send one of the rejection letters in the library. Have a look through and see which one suits your situation the best.
