Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights

Hi, well good news I got my bank charges (£1047) plus interest and court fees back from A & L, along with a letter telling me they are closing the account. Bit of a problem as I didnt set up a parachute account!! Have been a loyal customer for years and have mortgage with them so am pretty hacked off at their attitude to refunding MY money.
Intend to complain to the omsbudman but gether I have to write to A & L first. Is there any sort of template letter anywhere I can use? Want to make sure I say the right thing.
Not sure if there are any templates out there. Basically you need to write a letter of complaint at the retaliatory action, pointing out that you wish them to reconsider, ask them to write with a final decision on the matter. Once you have the letter with the magic words "final decision" you can refer the matter to the Ombudsman.
Good luck, keep us posted on how you get on with this
